Rockaholic Fishing, LLC is a partnership started by three people who share a passion for fishing. Captain Ron Jayne, his wife Captain Linda Jayne and Captain Jay Squares each hold USCG Masters Licenses and have been fishing the Chesapeake Bay for years, both commercially and recreationally.
The Rockaholic is a 42' Evans hull finished by Phil Jones of Hooper's Island. The crew runs fishing charters on the boat as well as fishing hook and line commercially. The boat runs most days and usually twice a day all summer. In doing so, the crew can keep up with the fish, where they are, and what's working to catch them.
Multiple methods for catching fish are utilized depending on what’s working at the time. These methods include trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, chumming or live-lining. One thing is for sure, the crew members are passionate about fishing and are ready to do what it takes to make your fishing trip a success.
Tournament Success
The Rockaholic Crew won the Bitmore Chester River Fishing Tournament three years in a row. In 2004, they placed fourth in the Upper Bay Rockfish Tournament. In 2007 they placed eighth and in 2008 they placed 7th in the Rock Hall Fishing Tournament out of a field of over 200 boats each year.
